Mondly,Memrise, Duolingo,Busuu

HELLOO MY READERS !!!

I hope, you are having fun while reading my blogs. In my previous blogs, ı tried to make you familiarize with apps that ı think you can use efficiently in language teaching.
In this blog, we will look 4 apps. We are in technology age and ı am sure that everyone who wants to learn a foreign language starts their learning adventure with one of these apps :

         =Mondly,
                         = Memrise,
                                            = Duolingo,
                                                               = Busuu

Let's look at them ...

MONDLY

Mondly is a platform that you start your learning with the choosen language. At first, you should choose language that you want to learn. Then, you choose your level. It serves you vocabularies, speaking activities, reading and so on... But my favourite part of this app is :
There are daily lessons. If you can't catch one of these daily lessons, you will not get the access for the weekly test. I think weekly tests are the best side of Mondly because you see what you have learn in 1 week and what you couldn't learn and so, you can know what you should more practice.

MEMRÄ°SE

What makes MEMRISE different from the other 3 apps is that, Memrise uses long-term memory technic in short-time. It makes easier for you to remember. It uses perfect images matching with the target vocabulary. As a teacher, you can prefer to use MEMRISE especially in your vocabulary classes.

DUOLINGO
Duolingo is another app used in this field. It provides activities, flash-cards, drills etc in learning new language.

For me, what makes Duolingo one of the most commonly used apps in learning new language is , it is just like a friend. It warns you , sends messages for you, asks you why you didn't visit Duolingo today. If you use Duolingo to learn a new language, it means that you will have to study every day :)

BUSUU

In Busuu, you can start by choosing the target language. You can listen the pronunciations of the words and etc just like the other apps. I thing what makes Busuu different from the others is that, it creates you an opportunity to access native speaker of the target language. It means that, in your classroom environment, you can create a communicative envvironment between your students and native speaker of the target language.
