In this blog, we will create our own characters through animation.Animation is a method in which pictures are manipulated to appear as moving images.Animation is a very good way to attract the attention of children in education , because children can focus on the colourful objects and games more easily.As a teacher, if we want to take an attention on specific topic, we can choose the app which is called ''Toontastic" to teach in a more effective way.
Through Toontastic , you can draw your own setting or you can choose one of the already-made settings.At first,ı tried to draw a classroom setting.Then ı choosed to use one of the already-made high-school settings.Then, you can choose your own characters.You can choose as many as you can and also you can specialize them.You can even add your own face as a teacher,and you can add your student's faces as students in this animation.It will make easier to comprehend the topic that you will teach and also make it more attractive for students.
After choosing your characters and starting the animation,you can record your voice. In every word you speak, your character as a teacher will make some mouth movements that will make your animation more realistic. In my animation, ı tried to give some greeting examples in English.To make it more attractive , after each example, ı made movements on my characters.One of my student character in a wheelchair went back and forth after hearing my example, my girl character danced and my the other boy character made hip-hop .
